Pancake Church

Join us for a tradition about 4 years in the making, when we make pancakes and have brunch the Sunday after Christmas during worship. There will be some fun elements of worship we’ll experience as we eat pancakes.

Christmas Eve

O, come all ye faithful and everyone else-it’s Christmas eve. We will sing new songs and old and hear the ancient story of a love that came down and surprised us with grace and love, announcing it’s presence in the strangest of ways.

Our Advent Theme is “The Hopes and Fears of All the Years.” This day we reflect on the Shepherds’ experience (Luke 2:8-20) of the heavens being filled with angels say “Do not fear,” and filling the countryside with song.

Advent week 4: Love

Our Advent Theme is “The Hopes and Fears of All the Years.” This week we will focus on Love by looking at the story of Joseph’s dream (Matthew 1:18-23). Joseph’s fears are overcome by love. Can we let God’s love overcome our fears and give us hopes?

Advent week 3: Joy

Our Advent Theme is “The Hopes and Fears of All the Years.” This week we will focus on Joy by looking at the story of Mary (Luke 1:26-38). When does joy take us by surprise? Do not fear!

Advent week 2: Peace

Our Advent Theme is “The Hopes and Fears of All the Years.” This week we will focus on Peace by looking at the story of Zechariah (Luke 1:5-25). What are our hopes for Peace and what fears do we have that keep us from seeking Peace?

In our coffeehouse style worship–a worship experience when we listen to poetry and music to help us notice and understand more about God.

It's a chock-full Sunday! Pr. Holly returns from sabbatical for a Coffeehouse Worship Service blending music and poetry around the theme of Sabbath, as well as the theme of Rediscovering a Sense of Autonomy from chapter 11 of Julia Cameron's book The Artist's Way.
