Today in worship, a special guest speaker will give our message.

Quinn Johnston is on the Caretaker’s team at Holden Village, one of twelve people called to care for the village during it’s forced closure due to the mudslides blocking access to the village. She will share a message of her experience in the village during this strange time, with links to psalm 31.

Holden Village is an ecumenical remote retreat center at a closed copper mine in the cascade mountains, rooted in the Lutheran tradition. A group from Spirit Garage was planning to go there this summer before it was closed due to the road being blocked.

Quinn has been out of the village for a few weeks to get a respite from the village after 4 months, but is heading back in right after this worship service. The team in the village plans to be there through at least the next year.
