A number of SG folx were signed up earlier this year to go to Holden Village in Washington this summer. Then mudslides at Holden Village made that impossible. This weekend retreat at the Christine Center in Wisconsin is a Holden Village offering “downlake.”
Step into Loving Kindness: Finding Treasures through Shared Practice, an in-person weekend retreat at the Christine Center in Willard, Wisconsin. Throughout the retreat, the teaching method emphasizes shared practice rather than expert instruction, inviting mutual discovery of gentleness, patience, and joy through compassionate awareness, meditation practice, and community support.
Come join us for a weekend full of spiritual traditions and sessions led by Amber Mattingly, Pema Lisa Antoniotti, and Holden Staff. Amber and Pema have taught loving-kindness in various settings, including Joyful Path’s weekly Loving-Kindness Group, where they invite people to rest in compassion, strengthen presence, and rediscover innate goodness.
Pastor Holly knows of three people planning to go to this event from our church, and she will go until early Sunday morning. If you are interested, go ahead and sign up, and then let her know so that we can try to coordinate rides.
