Lent Environmental Stewardship Small Groups

We are inviting everyone to be a part of a new five week small group exploring our relationship to God through caring for the environment. Groups will meet during Lent, which starts Feb. 6th and will go through the following weeks leading up to Easter. We will offer groups at several different times and locations so choose a time that works well for you. You can indicate your time preference on the Communication Card on the last page of the worship menu. We are also looking for several people who are willing to be group facilitators. Contact: Rob Norris-Weber at 612-312-3419.

Jennifer P of the Eco-Stewardship group received this note from the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.

There’s plenty of doom and gloom in the news right now: Gas prices are chugging toward $4.00 a gallon; obesity rates continue to expand; commuters are wasting time each day in traffic gridlock, every gallon of oil burned contributing to global climate change.
