These are the people who keep the financial engine of SG running. They work with community stewardship, managing the Spirit Garage budget and spending. This group meets monthly. To be a part of this support team contact Brian Kinstad.

As a Compassionate Community, Spirit Garage gives 10% of the offerings back to the greater community. Our 2010 Partners include: Emerson Spanish Immersion Learning Center, Feed My Starving Children, Our Savior's Housing, and Sharing the Dream Elders Hostel in Guatemala. Gathering this month at Anodyne Coffeehouse, forty-third & nicollet, South Minneapolis. Those interested in budgeting and/or outreach are encouraged to attend. Contact: Amelia Lanier

Spirit Garage Art-A-Whirl — Weekend of May 14-16

Calling all artists. If you have art you have created, or, new art you would like to create (painting, sketches, photo, sculpture, wood working, etc) consider donating it to the Spirit Garage Art-A-Whirl studio. The key is to price it inexpensively. All proceeds will be donated to Spirit Garage Partners In Giving (Feed My Starving Children, Emerson Spanish Immersion Learning Center, Our Saviors Housing, and Sharing the Dream Guatemala Elders Hostel). Kick off party will be May 14th at 1618 Central Ave NE, Suite 137, Mpls. 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. All Garagers are invited. You do not have to be present to sell you art. Deadline for art delivery is May 10, or bring it to a Spirit Garage Worship at the Music Box Theater (Sundays between 10 am - Noon) by or on May 9th. Contact: Donna Meyer  donnameyer010@comcast.net

Every year members are invited to prayerfully consider their partnership with Spirit Garage. This includes four things: Update Contact Information, a Financial Pledge for the coming year, Participation in 1 or 2 small groups or ministries, and a nomination for a potential 2010 Partner-in-Giving. Forms are available on the Merchandise Table and in the Communication Baskets. Return to the Offering Baskets, Coffee Bar or the Office; Spirit Garage Office, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. What are you hungry for? How about Sharing the Dream! - Sun. 8/16

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with one of our Partners in Giving! Two women from Sharing the Dream will be visiting from Guatemala on Sunday, August 16th. Learn how Chonita Sojuel Mendosa started the Elder Center in Santiago-Atitlan, Guatemala. She is a wonderful example of a grassroots ministry that serves her brothers and sisters in Christ. Diana Ramirez, the Sharing the Dream director in Guatemala will tell you about the other groups they partner with to help families in Guatemala develop sustainable work through their artisan crafts. These ladies are wonderful and would love to meet you on Sunday. Please come and let’s show them our Big Door hospitality. Partners-in-Giving: Tues. 5/26

Spirit Garage gives out 10% of the offerings back out to the community through our partners in giving organizations. Not only do we give these groups money, we also support their work by partnering with service projects during the year. This team keeps the financial engine of Spirit Garage running. This group meets monthly,on the 4th Tuesday. Join us Tuesday, April 28 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, as we look at our financials and make plans to serve our partners in the year ahead.
