Thank you for a very successful event at Loring Park. Spirit Garage hosted and coordinated the clean up which had 198 volunteers! The total area cleaned included Loring Park, the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens, and nearly a 3-block radius around loring park accounting for 165 acres. Spirit Garage members were personally responsible for nearly 25% of the total.

What is Orienteering: Orienteering is the skill of finding your way through a series of checkpoints on an unfamiliar course using a map and a compass. Typically a course is set in a wilderness area and the participants are timed as they complete it. More info found at www.mnoc.org

When counting all children, youth, parents, and adults concerned about kids, Spirit Garage has almost 100 people. We’ve been blessed this year with Amy Santoriello’s leadership. She is graduating from Luther Seminary in May and her hope is this ministry not only continues but expands. Come and share your thanks, thoughts, and dreams for the younger ones among us. We are partnering with Cinema & Spirituality for a Potluck at 5 PM on Sunday, April 13 at Bethlehem, 4100 Lyndale Ave S, Mpls. Come for the Potluck or just for the Parent and Adult meeting at 5:45 PM. Nursery is available. Presented by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) and the City of Minneapolis, proceeds from the Recycle Run will benefit future Minneapolis Earth Day Watershed Clean-Up efforts, an event that Spirit Garage is coordinating this year.

Whatever art skills you have, it’s time tap into your creative self. Join others as we create art as a part of our spiritual journey. We will explore topics of reflection, meditation, spirituality, nature, and purpose. The group will involve a topic, 5-10 minute meditation, an hour of art creating, and end with a group processing. Meet up Wednesdays from 6-8pm in the Art Room on the Second Floor of Bethlehem Church 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. Mpls, beginning February 13th. Nursery is also available for children under 4 years old. Please be on time or enter silently if meditation has begun.
