Worship Gathering - 10:30 AM

Submitted by Rob on March 27, 2008 - 11:54am.

Spirit Garage gathers for worship every Sunday at 10:30 AM
at The Music Box Theater, 1407 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis.

During our 4-week Message Series following Easter, we will be having a conversation about The Game of Life - not the Hasbro game where you have a spinner to determine your move, but the life we are spinning with each move we make. To play The Game of Life requires asking Your Questions (Mar. 30), overcoming Your Doubts (Apr. 6) discovering Your Identity (Apr. 13), and living out Your Purpose (Apr. 20).

We hope you'll take the time to join in on the conversation on Sunday mornings and online - by sharing your questions, comments, suggestions, and concerns.

The Game of Life is not about being a plastic playing piece in the drivers seat (blue for boys and pink for girls?!) You, as you have been made and what you have experienced is who you are, but even more than that, it's what you share with the rest of the creation. Too often we become the victim of what makes us who we are, instead of consciously choosing who you are. Jesus said, "The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but I came that you might have life and have it in abundance (in it's fullness). (John 10:10)

When we choose to truly be who God made you to be you no longer see yourself as a victim but a vital part of creation for this time and place on earth. Randy Pausch, the professor who shared his last lecture is a living example of choosing to be who you are in this time and place, not a victim. If you haven't watched it, take 10 minutes to see the short version, or better yet if you have 76 minutes, see his full lecture. Would love to hear your reflections.
