Group Camping and Geocashing at Lake Maria State Park

Activities: Geocaching www.geocaching.com/about Hiking, biking, You do not need a GPS to Participate.

WHAT IS Geocashing: Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache

WHEN: June 23rd – 24th Saturday-Sunday **$10 Deposit Due June 10th

WHERE: Lake Maria State Park (1 hour 15 minutes NE of Twin Cities, 7 miles North West of Monticello, MN) 11411 Clementa Avenue Northwest, Monticello, Minnesota 55362

COSTS: $17.00 Total / $10 for Saturday or Students covers Campsite/Firewood/Basic Meals  Park Entrance Fee - $7.00 per day or $25.00 Yearly State Park Pass per Vehicle .$10 Deposit needed by June 10th (Cost may change depending on participation) Other activities like fishing license are extra

Note: This is a alcohol free event and also we would like to be good Stewards of the Land and on this tip, please plan to recycle everything we can and leave the space better than we left it.

Saturday 11:30 Meet at Carpool location(TBD)

1:00 PM Arrive Lake Maria State Park for afternoon of ***Geocaching (GPS will be Provides)

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Campsite check-in

7 PM Dinner

8-10 PM Campfire (Smores, Beverages)

Late night hike if people are interested. Sunday 8 AM Fishing / Hiking or Bike Ride

8 AM Fishing / Hiking or Bike Ride

9:00 AM Breakfast

10:00 AM Sunday Worship Service at Camp Site

11:00 AM Lunch

12:30 PM Pack up
