Is this web site new?

I was so excited to have on-line access to a community of Christians in Minneapolis.  However, I have noticed that it is used very little.  I am going to try the bethlehem Lutheran Church website to see if there is a forum there.  It s just too long and discouraging to wait 22 weeks for replies on certain subjects.  I have a hunch that Bethlehem's members use this type of thing in some other way.  I hope this catches on.  I love the feedbackack and anonymous talk that goes on in my other sites/forums.  Peace

Carl

The website is relatively new and sorry about slow response.  I am one of the members of the church.   Please keep the dialog going.

Spirit Garage was not originally started as an online community. The opportunity for people to write in the forums is relatively new and growth is happening slowly.  Sorry that you are not getting a fast response.  We will certainly keep encouraging people to use the site more, if you have any suggestions, they would be helpful. Thanks.

As Ryan and Carl have mentioned, Spirit Garage is rather new to using the website as a communication vehicle.  We are trying numerous things to drum up more participation.  We look forward to hearing more from you on the site!!

     Good Morning Everybody,

There are many ways to get your God on online, like Beliefnet, or the Virtual Religion Index, et al, but I really like the prospect of being able to share with our church fellows from this digital angle.

Being at a church service is often an experience that defies literal language. I am sometimes overwhelmed with the spirit, and my brain is swimming in disconnected ideas, that mean something, just but just not yet. What I have to do let it all soak in for a day or two and wait for that still, small voice to get my fingers punching in the SG site to post a comment.

Maybe we could regularly suggest in the final pastoral remarks of the service, that we are invited to share our thoughts on the site, and during the interim of the week, give others the the gift of our embracement of the spirit we received on Sunday.

It is such a blessing to be a part of this spiritual fellowship.

     Your's in service, Rick Gentry

I really see the online experience as being able to be contemplative yet be able to react or say what is your mind (of course repectively).    I find that some of my best thoughts come through on ideas in a online dialog with others.   This space should never replace the Sunday morning service or getting togther as a community or one-on-one with members of the community.   It should be there to accentuate that experience but also another way of inviting others to find God's love.

Peace,
Carl
