This may not be the right thread for this, but...

 I found a very nice little web site that will let you post a signup sheet for people to volunteer to fill certain roles (www.mysignup.com).  This has worked well for Theology Pub to do signups for hosting on Sunday morning.  It's very cool because I don't have to send an email out to everyone and then have to track who signed up for the same things and re-contact the four people who signed up for one task to ask who could do something different instead.  Sigh.

It does take a moment to figure out how to set up the form, but once you do it one time you can re-use your form.

The day before the event, I just print out the sign up and call some people to fill in the blanks or ask people to help on Sunday morning.

I think this is a great way to do event signups.
