Beyond the Data: Depression & Women's Lives - Mon. 5/11

Submitted by Rob on May 6, 2009 - 9:28am.

Information about depression is readily available and yet this issue continues to plague many individuals and families for years. Join with other women on Monday, May 11, 7:00 pm for an evening of learning and discussion.

Pastor Karen Stevensen is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. She will share with us her insights about treating depression and the research that is available which often points to childhood situations at the root of this illness. Often medication helps some, but it doesn't make the pain go away. As a therapist she will share with us the process she works through with clients to gain awareness of the sources of depression in addition to treating the symptoms. Come for an interesting evening of learning and discovery about depression in our lives. This event is located at Bethlehem Lutheran and sponsored by Bethlehem's LOCA women. Your Spirit Garage Hosts at the conversation are Sabina Fox-Stephens, Donna Meyer and Char Moore Sneve 651-276-2528. There is No Cost, but Please register.
