It’s through Jesus’ sacrifice
That I am saved
Preached love for our fellow man
He walked the land
With his apostles
He kept spreading the Word
And paid the ultimate price
He gave up his life
So we could live

He carried the cross
And was sacrificed
On the wood
A leader and a friend
His followers understood
They would see him again

3 days after he died
An angel came for him
As others cried
Friends and family were overjoyed
Jesus was resurrected
Saying heaven will be waiting
But today spread compassion

It’s through this story
Of love and sacrifice
That comforts me
Through the hard times
I still lean on Him
God, and the Holy Spirit
My fellow friends
We can make a difference today
