Our very own Mike Hanson will be presenting his Appalachia Hike Video at 6 PM, Wednesday, March 11, at Sabes Jewish Community Center (Directions), as part of the the Minneapolis Jewish Film Festival. In Mike’s own words, “My name is Mike Hanson. I plan to hike the Appalachian Trail solo. I also Happen to be blind.” Learn more at the website blindhiker.com. Mike is the warm up to the Minnesota Premier of “Circumcise Me: The Comedy of Yisreal Campbell.

The Festival presents the best feature films, documentaries and shorts from around the world on themes of Jewish culture and identity. It is dedicated to using film for its contemporary, popular value to reflect the diversity of the Jewish experience. The Festival is an opportunity to heighten awareness of this diversity around the world to audiences of all backgrounds. Through its eclectic programming of films in different languages, the Festival strives to break down stereotypes and racial barriers.
