What does the list in the title have in common? Different concerns to which Spirit Garage is responding. Last week Dan Frazer asked for our help with his friends Socks for the Homeless - to date there have been enough socks collected to put a new pair on an individual every day this year; crazy to think fresh socks is such a luxury. A couple weeks ago Virginia Clinton helped organize a Spirit Garage team for the Walk/Run to fight AIDs, that same day Kat Kempe spoke about Clare Housing on of Spirit Garage's Partners-In-Giving. Spirit Garage responded with both financial and physical gifts to help people living with AIDS. Today I received a phone call from Jon Lounberg asking if Spirit Garage would do a special appeal to help with the victims due to the earthquake in China and the Cyclone in Myanmar - Lutheran World Relief is currently in both countries assisting in the relief effort. In the weeks and months ahead you can join with Candy Headson as we work with the Dwelling Place where families living in abuse can find safety and healing. And on June 20 join Carl Holmquist with the Peace Games in North Minneapolis sponsored by another Partner-in-Giving, the Peace Foundation.
