We continue our summer message series on, Encouragement - To give courage, confidence, raise the hopes of, strengthen, hearten. When was the last time you received or given a genuine compliment?

The Message this week is "Growing where you are planted." as we look at Jesus's parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23) Encouragement is shown in many ways, as Paul wrote, "Whoever has the gift of encouraging others should encourage. Whoever has the gift of giving to others should give freely. Anyone who has the gift of being a leader should try hard when leading. Whoever has the gift of showing mercy to others should do so with joy." Romans 12:8

All poets, writers and spoken word performers are invited to join a group of writers who will meet once a month to share our writing. There is potential for some pieces to be used in worship and possibly published. If you have never written poetry or performed before don't let that stop you - Everyone is welcome! The vision for this poetry group is a writers' workshop offering support to encourage and inspire fellow writers to find their Spiritual voices. I find that writing from the heart is the best.
