Whether it’s alcohol and drugs – or work, sex, exercise and attention – we all “worship idols.” What we expect to give us strength, leaves us feeling diminished...maybe even weak and defeated. All are invited to a reading and discussion group that will explore the relationship of human limitation to divine grace. Our final Monday meeting for this series is March 10, at 7pm. Whatever art skills you have, it’s time tap into your creative self. Join others as we create art as a part of our spiritual journey. We will explore topics of reflection, meditation, spirituality, nature, and purpose. The group will involve a topic, 5-10 minute meditation, an hour of art creating, and end with a group processing. Meet up Wednesdays from 6-8pm in the Art Room on the Second Floor of Bethlehem Church 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. Mpls, beginning February 13th. Please be on time or enter silently if meditation has begun. You're invited to join a group of people interested in writing and performing original dramas and skits for Spirit Garage worship. The cross is a strong symbol of the Christian faith. Christ's final steps to his crucifixion took him through the streets of Jerusalem carrying the cross on which he would die. To remember the depth of this sacrifice we will be carrying a cross through the streets of Minneapolis as part of Good Friday Worship. The Cross Walk is a moving experience and I welcome all of you to participate in this event. We will meet at the front door of the Music Box Theater at 5:30 PM. Our route will go along city streets and end at the Loring Park Building where the service will be held. All participants will have a chance to carry the cross along the way. Support our new Partner in Giving, Clare Housing. Clare Housing works to develop a continuum of care that will meet the housing and service needs of people living with HIV/AIDS today and in the future. For more information about Clare Housing, visit www.clarehousing.org. Many new residents come from homeless or unstable housing situations and are in need of basic household items.
