(event) Spirit Garage participates in "Stand Up Against Poverty Start: 22 Oct 2006 - 10:00am End: 22 Oct 2006 - 12:00pm description: According to the Stand Against Poverty website, "Stand Up Against Poverty" was launched by the Millennium Campaign to remind world leaders of their promise to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. 23,542,614 People stood up against poverty all over the world in "Stand Up Against Poverty" events from 10 am GMT October 15th through 10 am GMT October 16th and were counted as part of "...an official Guinness World Record for the most number of people to simultaneously stand up against poverty within 24 hours!" (www.standagainstpoverty.org).
