Faith-Quest Oktoberfest—No matter how you slice it, many of us are drinking alcoholic beverages and talking about God and life. Come on down, order a cold one, and let’s chat about why putting the spirits back in spirituality might get some folks a little flushed.

Come on down, have a drink.  Join the talk or sit and think.  Questions are the things we love.  Chat with us at Theology Pub.

Friday the 13th. . . What does this day mean to you?

It reminds me of a Tony Campolo talk about Good Friday, the day we remember Jesus' cruxification. Many churches remember it by sharing the 7 Last Words Jesus said on the cross, with someone speaking on each verse. Tony had just finished his message and felt pretty good about it, when the next person to speak whispered in his ear, "That was pretty good, but watch this." The next speaker began speaking quietly, "It's Friday (pause), but Sunday's coming!" And repeated it a little louder, "It's Friday (pause), but Sunday's coming!" and continued to repeat it until he was screaming, "It's Friday!" And then everyone shouted back, "But Sundays Coming!!"
