PEACE Across the Northside Event

Come and kick off a summer of PEACE in Minneapolis!

Over 1000 neighbors from North Minneapolis and around our community will stand together, side-by-side on 26th Avenue, stretching across the Northside for this second annual event. We will make a collective statement that peace will prevail over violence.

The event will happen RAIN OR SHINE!

Please submit this form to register your organization to bring members to the event. You will receive notification of the block you are assigned to. Or, you can just show up at one of the two identified starting points on 26th Avenue â Church of St. Philip at Bryant Ave N or Jordan New Life Community Church at Newton Ave N. Carpooling is encouraged to save on parking.

Hey folks!

The fountain is back on at government plaza and I'm thinking hot dogs!  No more sitting around noisy cafeterias for me!  Come join us for lunch outside at the Hennepin County Government Center Plaza Wednesday May 24 at 11:30.

Bring your lunch or bring some jingle for the hot dog vendor...also bring your ideas for how we can spend more time outside this summer... maybe a picnik in the park for next month?

Belonging Group Dinner - May 25

The Belonging Group dinner will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday May, 25th at Rick and Lisa Gentry’s home at 4325 Portland Avenue South, Mpls. 55407.  Dinner will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.

June 4th First meeting of Summer Book Group

SIA Kickball Sign Up

Spirit Garage KICKBALL is back!

Back by popular demand, Spirit Garage is fielding a kickball team for the Summer 2006 season.  We are planning on playing on Tuesdays starting on June 20th.  Games will be held at the Bassett Creek Park located off of 55 and Penn in North Minneapolis (near 394 and about 15 minutes from Uptown).  The season consists of 6 regular season games plus playoffs.  Games will be played at 6:00, 6:50, or 7:40 each gameday.  We need 16 people to play in order to field a full team (preferably 8 guys and 8 girls).  Space is limited!

Spirit Garage Band: "Revealed" Performing Live at Club 3 Degrees

SG at the Lake Harriet Band Shell - Sun. 6/11

Spirit Garage will be gathering for worship at the Lake Harriet Band Shell Sunday, June 11th at 10:00 AM.  We will not be meeting at Theater Garage that week.

Come by the band shell on your bike, roller blades or with your dog and bring a friend, this is a great time to invite that person you’ve been wanting to ask to join you at Spirit Garage. There will be a BBQ after the service in the park, just up the hill from the band shell.  So bring some food to share and hang out for lunch.
