Waiting at the Table

As I sat with Jesus
The other apostles and me
We broke bread together
I didn’t know he would set me free

I use to walk the earth
Feeling that I was cursed
When I was taken by his hand
I became a better man

I never had faith
Until I saw Jesus’ face
Now with food and wine
I am blessed in time

The other men are my brothers
Their wisdom I discovered
And Mary Magdalen
Taught me about redemption
Mother is another word for heaven

A Creation Care Workshop

A training event offering practical and inspirational guidance and resources to help you and your congregation’s
creation care team bring “care of creation” into your congregation.
1.  Learn to engage your whole congregation: from light bulbs to energy audits, from sermons to youth activities, from community events to public policy.
2.  Network with other congregations active on this issue. Learn from the experts among us. Both experienced and novice individuals and teams are encouraged to attend.
3.  Workshop led by Professor David Rhoads, theologian from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and founder of the Web of Creation, the premier Lutheran web-based creation care resource.
4.  Bishop Johnson and Bishop Rogness plan to participate in this event, indicating the urgency of the topic.
5.  Staff from the Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in Minnesota and the New Earth Partnership will participate
in this event and support you with helpful follow-up and materials.
