Over the next 6 weeks Spirit Garage is going to do the same, Spirit Garage so loves the world. . . Along with our Sunday Morning Worship, Spirit Garage has 5 small groups that will be going deeper into this subject concerning the only mortal home we have - Earth. Hope you'll join one of the weekly groups. To sign up click the one that works best for your schedule: Wednesday Evenings (Feb. 13-Mar. 12), Thursday Evenings (Feb. 14-Mar. 13), Sunday Afternoons (Feb. 17-Mar. 16), Sunday Evenings (Feb. 17-Mar. 16), Monday Evenings (Feb. 18-Mar. 17).

What We Cannot Do For Ourselves - Weekly Reading and Discussion Group

Submitted by Rob on February 7, 2008 - 2:59pm.

Whether it’s alcohol and drugs – or work, sex, exercise and attention – we all “worship idols.” What we expect to give us strength, leaves us feeling diminished...maybe even weak and defeated. All are invited to a reading and discussion group that will explore the relationship of human limitation to divine grace. We are meeting Mondays through March 10, at 7pm (No Meeting February 11). February 18 – Admitting Powerlessness/Surrender/Letting Go, “Bill’s Story” from “Alcoholics Anonymous” and “Step One” from “Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions.”. For more information including where we are meeting this week, contact Kevin Erickson (612-872-8791) or Dianne Dornquast (612-991-3533).

  • Location: Contact Facilitators for this week's location
  • Start: 18 Feb 2008 - 7:00pm
  • Stop: 18 Feb 2008 - 8:00pm

Spirit Mechanics - Prayer Discipline during Lent, Feb 17 - Mar 16

Submitted by Rob on February 7, 2008 - 4:25pm.

Spirit Mechanics gather after worship on most Sundays, as Mechanics are available. During 5 Sundays in Lent, you're invited to try it out Sundays, February 17 - March 16. Prayer really is just a conversation between you and God, which makes group prayer more of a discussion. Come to listen, learn, and maybe try it out.  Simply gather at the left side of the stage following worship. For more information or questions contact Bethany McCaughan. There is also the opportunity to share prayers through email: spiritmechanics@yahoogroups.com

  • Location: Left side of Stage following Spirit Garage Worship at the Music Box Theater
  • Start: 17 Feb 2008 - 11:45am
  • Stop: 17 Feb 2008 - 12:00pm
